Ukrainian figure scaters Oleksandra Nazarova and Maksym Nikitin gave an amazingly touching performance at the World Figure Skating Championships. They qualified for the finals with no costumes and almost no preparations using Jamala’s & Boombox’s symbolic songs for their program.
Both of them are from Kharkiv. While Oleksandra were able to leave Kharkiv when the invasion started, Maksym spent three weeks in the city under Russia’s fire.
The pair received standing ovation from the public that remained speachless.
